If so, we invite you to check out this opportunity! POSITION DETAILS This position is located within the Taxpayer Services Division, in the Legal Services Bureau. This is a full-time, 40 hours per week position on first shift. Schedule is Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm.This position will be accountable for managing the day-to-day work of staff in connection with the timely and accurate production of a variety of tax functions performed in the Contact Service Center, Forms Administration Unit and Education and Outreach Unit. ABOUT US The Taxpayer Services Division is the central point of contact by telephone, letter, email and videoconferencing for Connecticut business and individual responsible for ensuring that all taxes due are reported accurately and in compliance with Connecticut tax laws. The Taxpayer Services Contact Center operates as a “one-stop” contact area for most taxpayers with the expectation of full problem resolution and providing a “world-class” customer experience. The Contact Service Center is accountable for influencing voluntary taxpayer compliance, which effectuates increased collection of revenue and administration, by ensuring the efficient accuracy of taxpayer registrations and licensing, electronic commerce, taxpayer accounting, including billing or refunds, preparation of financial statements, tax return processing, and correction of taxpayer accounts. The Forms Administration Unit is the central point of the Department for the development and maintenance of all DRS forms and administration pronouncements (tax products). The Education and Outreach Unit acts as the Department’s liaison with the Governor’s legislative staff, Executive branch agencies, the Connecticut General Assembly, in particular the Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committee, and other states. The Education and Outreach Unit issues the monthly comparative statement of revenues and detailed statistics on the taxes collected by the department. The unit also publishes the Department’s Annual Report and produces a tax incidence analysis. The Taxpayer Services Division staff provide efficient and courteous customer service with the goal of providing world-class customer service and instilling integrity and fairness throughout the process.
