My husband, on the other hand (who has the Galaga high score at our local go karts laser tag place) has some opinions worth noting: there’s no joystick, it’s widescreen and the top to bottom suffers- not enough height and cramped feeling, and super important: the music and sound effects aren’t quite right. So, if you want a fun little $20 game, it’s fine. If you are an authentic enthusiast, you probably won’t be enthusiastic. We were teens in the 80’s and this was his favorite arcade game. He loves it! It just didn’t work. We went thru several batteries thinking this was the issue but we changed it several times with new batteries and nothing - worked for a few minutes then would die. The only issue that I have is that the games do not allow you to store a high score. Sound is decent. D-pad works fine. Game is as hard as I remember it. Have also bought the Dig Dug and will see how that goes. High scores saving would have completed a 5 star review, but probably would require a watch/cmos battery. Once the game is turned off the scores are gonzo. The gameplay is fast and smooth as the original, I expected less but am happily surprised at how good it is.
